Biography
I have been an IT Manager, business systems analyst and educator for over forty years. I got my start in the computer industry with MicroAge Computer Stores a year before the IBM PC was first introduced (you can "Google" to find out what year that was). In addition to being a systems analyst, I have taught at ASU, Rio Salado, Chandler-Gilbert, Mesa and Scottsdale Community Colleges. Courses that I teach/have taught are in business and technology areas covering software application use, systems design and development, Survey of Computer Information Systems and my current class in Structured Query Language. Over the course of my career, I have held positions in technology innovation and implementation, end-user training, project and personnel management, and IT leadership.
I learned at a very young age that a Community College education is a very valuable item. My father worked for many years to get a community college established in my hometown in Illinois when I was growing up. Proof that it's a small, small world is that the first Provost at that college was none other than the first SCC president, Dr. Art DeCabooter! I also attended Glendale Community College for my first 3 semesters, after graduating from high school, before I went to NAU to earn my Bachelor's Degree. So, I am glad you are here and I will do my best to help you navigate through this part of your education.
I look forward to seeing you in class!
