Biography

Bio

An early interest in science led me to explore several fields. I migrated from Biology to Chemistry and finally to Physics and Astronomy. My graduate education was critically applied on active duty with the US Air Force, then in Industry.  In the USAF, I obtained an MBA before managing national space systems projects for the Secretary of the Air Force. Before retiring from Motorola, I led & supported several government and commercial new business initiatives, receiving 6 US Patents.

I have instructed at six Maricopa Community Colleges and have been here at SCC since 2004. For several years I concurrently taught Dual-Enrollment Physics for Grand Canyon University and Glendale Community College. I particularly enjoy exploring the teaching synergy between Astronomy and Physics courses taught here at SCC.
Our SCC Natural Sciences Instruction Team includes not only Instructors, but also Tutoring, Laboratory, Counseling Services, Library, and other support available to students!
