Biography
Having worked in the graphic design industry since 1986, I have developed projects for a variety of clients. When I started in the industry, computers printed out strips of text and not much else. When I worked for the Farragut Press, a weekly newspaper in Farragut, TN, it took 10 of us to put out the paper weekly. As technology improved, it only required one person to do the job that 10 used to.
I currently freelance in the comic book industry. I have developed trade show booths that have appeared a cons all over the U.S. including San Diego Comic Con. I am the designer for Tucson Comic-Con, where I work on signage, program guides, and more.
I enjoy all aspects of graphic design and I love to teach it. Before SCC, I created and taught the award winning graphic design program at Desert Mountain High School.
While at SCC, I have taught Introduction to Graphic Design, Graphic Design 1 & 2, Illustrator 1 & 2, and currently teach Digital Output Prepress and Digital Output. We have a fully functional digital print lab where students learn the process of professionally printing files.
