Biography

Bio

From the beginning of my nursing career in 2010, I have had a passion for teaching. I obtained a master’s degree in Nursing from Northern Arizona University in 2015. Since getting my master’s I started out as an adjunct for clinicals with SCC in 2016. My instructional and clinical experience that I have received has provided me with excellent knowledge and skills to provide non-traditional and innovative instructional methods that promote critical thinking. In Jan. 2022 I was hired on as a full-time faculty member for SCC Nursing Program. I am devoted to nursing role development, safe practice, and holism, as well as the other core Maricopa nursing values. A student’s well-being of their mind, body and spirit is crucial to their success as a student and nurse. These values I believe are central to a developing nurse and allows them to be successful in their field. I am proud to be teaching in the nursing program at SCC. GO ARTICHOKES!!
