Biography
Life is a journey to be embraced with passion and purpose. I am so thankful to be dancing my way through this beautiful life!
"I don't know how to dance," is usually the first thing out of peoples' mouths when I tell them I teach Zumba. The great news is that we just have a blast together! You can move however you are comfortable. It's all about having fun, getting a great workout, and encouraging each other along the way.
I have been dancing since the age of five. Ballet is my base but I have also danced modern, jazz, tap and hip hop. I also helped choreograph routines for pom and cheer squads. I enjoy a variety of cultures and eras and the music they provide for us to dance.
My heart is in mission work. I am on the Phoenix Advisory Board with the Salvation Army. I am a volunteer Hope Coach driver for the Phoenix Rescue Mission (we feed and cloth the homeless). I volunteer once a week to teach Zumba at the Changing Lives Center for women and children. This brings more joy to me than I could ever express. I am also blessed to have the opportunity to go to Mexico every quarter and serve in an orphanage as well as a women's shelter. I do Zumba with them and they love it! It humbles me and makes me thankful for everything.
My hope it to one day be in a position to do mission work globally. I literally want to see the world and serve its people.
My BA degree is in Education. My professional career has been with the airlines in different capacities. I have been with the best airline, Alaska Airlines, since 1993.
My husband and I are both Arizona natives and have lived in the same zip code for 28 years! We love Arizona, from its pine trees to Red Rock to the beautiful Sonoran Desert. I am happy to be teaching at Scottsdale Community College on the Salt River Community land.
"As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens an other." Proverbs 27:17
Let's encourage, inspire and sharpen one another....come Zumba with me!
