Biography

Bio

I am a residential faculty teaching Economics courses at Scottsdale Community College.

I grew up in India where I did my Bachelor's and Master's degree in Economics. After completing my studies, I joined the Reserve Bank of India (RBI - which is the central bank of India) as a Research Fellow in the Department of Economic Policy Research. At RBI I authored and co-authored several research papers and book reviews on International Finance and Monetary Economics. However, while working at RBI, I realized that my real passion lies in teaching. I henceforth came to the U.S. to do my second Master's degree in Economics from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. I also did a third Master's degree in Finance from the Keller Graduate School of Management. After completing my graduate studies here in the U.S., I started teaching Macroeconomic Principles and Microeconomic Principles as an adjunct faculty first at Phoenix College and then at Scottsdale Community College. I have also taught these courses at Mesa Community College, Benedictine University, and I have taught the MBA course Managerial Economics at Saint Xavier University's Gilbert campus in Arizona.

I now teach ECN 211 Macroeconomic Principles and ECN 212 Microeconomic Principles at SCC. I am quite passionate about Economics and I love teaching the subject by using real-world applications.

I live in Gilbert with my husband. In my leisure time, I love to cook, watch old Hollywood movies, and listen to music!
