Biography
I began my nutrition journey right here at SCC, after which I went on to earn a B.S. degree in Nutrition/Dietetics at Arizona State University (ASU) and eventually a M.S. degree in Nutritional Science. I have a strong interest in the areas of Maternal and Child Health (MCH) and public health research. My teaching journey began at ASU, where I was involved in the design and implementation of one of the largest online Exercise and Wellness courses offered by ASU and helped lead a graduate level Research Methods course. In Summer of 2021, I earned my credentials as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) and returned to SCC to share my passion for nutrition and teaching as adjunct faculty. I currently teach a variety of nutrition-related courses and hope to inspire others as I was inspired by my own experience at SCC!
