Biography

Bio

I have an unusual background for a math teacher.  I got my undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in Electrical Engineering and moved to the Phoenix area to work for Motorola in the Semiconductor Industry.  I worked in Engineering for more than 20 years, but after all those years,  I knew that I wanted to work more with people in a helping profession.  I had always wanted to teach math, so I thought teaching at the Community College would be a good fit for me.  I quit my engineering job and went to ASU to get a master's degree in Math, then a PhD degree in Curriculum and Instruction (how to teach math).  Now I've been teaching for 10 years!
