Biography
My name is Jeanne Wudell. I am an Adjunct Instructor of Art History at Glendale, Mesa and Scottsdale Community Colleges. I earned an M.A. from Arizona State University with a specialization in Renaissance Art. During my graduate studies, I studied in Florence, Italy. For more than 20 years at the community college, I have enjoyed teaching ARH 100 Introduction to Art, ARH 101 Prehistoric through Gothic Art and ARH 102 Renaissance through Contemporary Art in the classroom. In 2016, I also began to develop online classes at Scottsdale Community College, specifically ARH 101 Online and ARH 102 Online.
In addition to teaching at the community college, I have taught survey classes and an upper-division Renaissance Art class at Arizona State University. While working at the Phoenix Art Museum, I served as Exhibition Assistant for Copper as Canvas: Two Centuries of Masterpiece Paintings on Copper, 1575775. I was a contributor to the Copper as Canvas exhibition catalogue and the museum’s collection catalogue, Phoenix Art Museum Collection Highlights. At the museum, I also served as Faculty Advisor for the Friends of European Art.
I love living in Arizona with my family. The warm weather and desert landscape suit me perfectly. It is a dry heat as they say! I also love to travel and have had wonderful opportunities to explore Europe, Egypt and Israel.
