Biography
Jonathan grew up near Niagara Falls, Canada, and has a wide diversity of competitive sports experience. He’s medaled in gymnastics, baseball, badminton, tennis, volleyball, indoor/outdoor track & field, marathons, 5 & 10K runs, swimming, water polo, and judo. With his background in gymnastics he competed in NCAA Division 1 cheerleading for the University of Hawaii. Recently, Jonathan medaled twice in the Arizona Natural bodybuilding competition.
Jonathan holds a master’s of Exercise and Sports Studies from Boise State University. He graduated from BYU-Hawaii with a bachelor’s in Exercise Sport Science/Health and Wellness. Jonathan’s been involved in the fitness industry for over fifteen years.
Certifications include: N.S.C.A. Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist A.C.S.M. Certified Personal Trainer USAW Certified Weightlifting Coach AHA Basic Life Support Instructor
In addition to his activities, Jonathan loves the outdoors and has a passion for wilderness survival and primitive living skills. He has been a Professional Outdoor Expedition Guide for several at-risk youth programs, taught Recreation Management courses, and been a Camp Director for the YMCA.
